The Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called the Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to the Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. Her bright eyes are intent; Her eager body quivers. Suddenly she begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, her legs carrying her faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress her beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
And then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Shavano Creek Duchess
April 26, 2015 - January 27, 2017
Our sweet little Duchess was taken from us much much too soon. I will never get over her loss. Shavano Creek Duchess was a sweet and beautiful little terrier who lived her life to the fullest and loved people more than anything else. She was constantly following you around or sitting in your lap. She loved to patrol the property looking for squirrels and doves and was one of the most loyal terriers I've known. She was near to my heart as we worked hard to save her from birth and then again in an accident. Godspeed little one. Say hello to your brother sisters across the bridge. We will always love you. Forever and always. Until we meet again...
Shavano Creek Rembrandt "Remi"
April 27, 2014-August 31, 2015
Sometimes little lives are taken from us just way too fast. I don't think I will ever understand why. Shavano Creek Rembrandt was a magnificent little terrier who lived his life with and zest and enthusiasm. He was near to my heart and I knew he was special since birth. There wasn't a thing he wouldn't do for me and he loved life to the fullest! He left this world doing exactly what he loved doing...hunting. Godspeed little one. Say hello to your sister across the bridge. We will always love you. Forever and always.
Until we meet again...

Shavano Creek Ginger

Shavano Creek Ginger
“If only I could have saved her, it would have been forever”
Ginger was a dog that wasn’t supposed to live, yet somehow she beat the odds twice before she was called home to live a full and happy life with our family. She was our resident miracle pup and as tough as they come. A true terrier through and through, we let her be the dog she wanted to be and she lived life to its fullest. She had a passionate and fierce love of life and our family and was a pure delight to have around. We have never loved a dog as much as little Ginger and she taught us many important lessons in her beautiful life. Heaven surely has a very large piece of our hearts today. Until we meet again sweet little girl, always know we love you. Always. Run free my beautiful friend. We will never forget you...
